Comprising 632 lots, the top producing auction will run over three days from June 2 to 4 on the Gold Coast and includes progeny by over 130 individual sires.
Over the years the sale has established itself as one of the best producing and top value in the country with graduates including Golden Slipper winner Polar Success, Singapore champion Rocket Man, New Zealand based record breaker Princess Coup, Oakleigh Plate winner Woorim, star kiwi filly Costa Viva and reigning Queensland Oaks heroine Tinto.
The National Yearling Sale has been the source of Group One winners around the globe for an average purchase price of around $35,000.
The sale will provide buyers with the final opportunity to purchase a yearling eligible for nomination to the $11.29 million Magic Millions Race Series, including the landmark $10m Gold Coast Raceday next January.
A highlight of the auction will be the quality draft as part of the Heinrich Bloodstock Unreserved Dispersal. The 46 lot draft includes 13 already paid up for the national Magic Millions Race Series and all but two of the draft have been broken in and will have had a three week educational preparation at Kolora Lodge.
Among the pedigree highlight lots of the National Yearling Sale are (at least half) relations to Group One winners including La Drakkar, Lone Rock, Mentality, Samaready, Shocking, Snitzel and Whobegotyou.
There’s also close relations to this season’s stakes stars Alpine Eagle, Time for War, The Grey Flash, Averau, Haptic, Lady Jivago, Leisure Free, Pearl Star, Phrases, Red Excitement, Sir Singo and Stratum Star.
Group One winning mares Bulla Borghese, Lotteria, Republic Lass, Serious Speed, Tartan Tights and Victory Vein have yearlings represented with no fewer than 105 stakes performed mares with progeny set to go under the hammer.
