What is VOBIS Gold?
VOBIS Gold is an exclusive prizemoney and bonuses offering to encourage and reward owners of Super VOBIS-nominated racehorses in Victoria.
Introduced in 2012, this exciting initiative offers $4.65 million in bonuses throughout the racing season, with $20,000 bonuses available on up to 250 races.
VOBIS Gold complements the very successful Super VOBIS scheme, providing owners of horses bred in Victoria with the opportunity to increase their earning potential on the track.
Several metropolitan and country tracks host prize money bonus races in Victoria.
These include Flemington, Moonee Valley and Sandown in the city, and the following provincial tracks – Ararat, Benalla, Bendigo, Echuca, Geelong, Kyneton, Cranbourne, Donald, Mornington, Pakenham, Sale, Seymour, Werribee, Traralgon, Warrnambool and Wodonga.
$4.65 Million In Prizemoney & Bonuses
Nominated VOBIS Gold horses can enter the lucrative VOBIS Gold Premier Race Series, where up to $4.65 million in prize money and bonuses is on offer at metropolitan and regional racetracks in Victoria.
Open to VOBIS Gold-nominated horses only, the series features 18 races for Victorian bred horses.
All progeny of VOBIS Sires nominated stallions can race in the VOBIS Gold Premier Race Series.
The innovative series features races for all ages over a range of distances at both metropolitan and country racetracks in Victoria.
Hosting racetracks for the Premier Race Series include Ballarat, Bendigo, Caulfield, Pakenham, Swan Hill, Moonee Valley, Wangaratta and Warrnambool.

What is VOBIS Sires?
VOBIS Sires is the latest Victorian owner and breeder incentive scheme addition, to encourage support for Victorian-based stallions.
The progeny of VOBIS Sires stallions are eligible to compete in two exclusive races on the annual Victorian Owners and Breeders Raceday at Caulfield in April.
These are ‘The Showdown‘, a $1,000,000 two-year-old race over 1200 metres and first held in 2019, and a $500,000 unnamed three-year-old race, which will run for the first time in April 2020.
Prince Of Sussex won the inaugural running of The Showdown.
Besides these two new races, Racing Victoria also pays a stallion nominator’s bonus for The Showdown, with five percent paid out to the winning horse’s stallion nomination.
Any thoroughbreds aiming to compete in the VOBIS Sires must be both Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold nominated. They must also be the progeny of a VOBIS Sires stallion.
Interested parties must submit stallion nominations to Racing Victoria each year for inclusion to this exciting owner and breeder incentive scheme.
