Magic Millions wins Regional Exporter of the Year Award

Magic Millions was honoured last week by winning the Regional Exporter of the Year Category at the prestigious 2014 Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards in Brisbane.

Queensland Premier Campbell Newman was on hand to make the presentation to Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox.

The Gold Coast based thoroughbred sales company was judged as the state’s leading exporter for companies outside the metropolitan area.

“It is a great honour to win this important export award,” Cox stated.

“Congratulations must go to our entire team for what was a successful 2013-14 year.”

During the 2013-14 financial year Magic Millions export sales growth soared 47 per cent with over $37.5 million worth of bloodstock exported after being sold at a Magic Millions auction.

Magic Millions’ strongest growth export sales in 2013-14 were to the United States, increasing six fold, whilst Japan and New Zealand doubled and significant increases were recorded to Hong Kong, South Africa, Ireland and South Korea.

Other highlights of the Magic Millions performance over the last financial year included record high clearance rates and growth to both of the company’s major sales events in January and May/June.
