CrownBet has become the Premier Wagering Partner of Racing Victoria and the Seven Network for the Racing.com broadcast and online platforms for the next sixteen months, as well as Seven’s suite of thoroughbred racing in 2016.
The partnership with the Australian online bookmaker will come into effect on Monday 31st August 2015.
CrownBet will hold the Premier Wagering Partner rights for the below properties:
CrownBet has the sole in-telecast integration rights across the current suite of Channel 7’s Racing Victoria and Racing NSW thoroughbred racing in 2016.
The deal covers 21 scheduled Race Days, from the Orr Stakes until the Zipping Classic, however excluded from this is the 2016 Australia Cup and the 2016 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The Racing.com Broadcast channel has the right to feature live broadcasts of 498 Victorian race meetings per year (102 Metro, 396 Country), as well as ancillary programming and content.
It is currently broadcasted via free to air TV (Channel 78 Metro, Channel 68 Regional) and the Racing.com digital streaming platforms, and will soon be broadcasted via subscription TV (Foxtel Channel TBC).
CrownBet Chief Executive Officer Matt Tripp said the tender selection process was competitive and the partnership would play an important role in CrownBet’s growth strategy.
“It was a thorough and competitive process and we’re delighted Racing Victoria and the Seven Network have chosen CrownBet as their Premier Wagering Partner,” said Tripp.
“This partnership will allow us to reach a wide audience right across Australia, and will play an important role in our mission to become the leading operator in the sector.”
In December 2014, CrownBet was announced as the Official Wagering Partner of the AFL for five years.
