ATB Review – Aug 6th 2013

ticket-to-toorakAustralian Thoroughbred Bloodstock had Tonza Rossa, Ticket To Toorak and Luckyi’mbarefoot all race over the past week for the Matthew Williams stable in Warrnambool.

First to go around was Tonza Rossa on Friday 2nd August 2013 at Geelong with Ben Melham aboard.

Tonza Rossa put in an ordinary run and stewards reported she layed in under pressure in the straight. Although disappointing, she is still learning and needs a bigger track with a grass surface over more distance to allow her to relax more and finish off better.

At Moonee Valley on Saturday 3rd August promising Northern Meteor colt Ticket To Toorak stepped out in the first race on the card over 1000 metres with Ben Melham on top and finished 5th behind the speedy Clevadude.

Ticket To Toorak was run off his legs over the short trip and over-raced through the early stages, with stewards reporting he was unable to get clear running from the entrance to the straight to the 300m mark.

He will appreciate more racing and getting out to a distance like 1400m.

Luckyi’mbarefoot went around in Race 6 at the Valley and after enjoying a lovely run during the race he was unable to run down eventual winner Alpha Prozima in the straight.

Glen Boss rode the 6yo and there’s a win in store for him sometime soon.
