Out of dual Group 2 winner Bird Of Fire, this athletic 2yo is being syndicated by Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock’s Darren Dance who thought he was the best Fastnet Rock he had had seen this year.
“He’s a very precocious two-year-old type out of a very good mare,” said Dance.
“He has got the right cross with Stravinsky, he was very clean in the x-rays and he will probably make a two-year-old. He ticked all the boxes.”
“This is Bird Of Fire’s first foal and he is a lovely strong athletic type who is Super Vobis qualified.”
Bird Of Fire was a tough mare who won races from 1400 to 2000 metres including the Group 2 VRC Matriarch Stakes at Flemington and Group 2 SAJC Queen of the South Stakes at Morphettville.
She also won the Gr3 Tesio Stakes at Moonee Valley and was good enough to finish runner-up in the Gr3 Dane Ripper Stakes in Brisbane behind Chincilla Rose.
This Fastnet Rock * Bird Of Fire colt has been broken in, educated and is scheduled to return to work on Monday September 30th and is being aimed towards the 2014 Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield in February.
Ongoing Monthly costs: 5% share – $150 (training), $45 (spelling)

David Hayes is very impressed with this Fastnet Rock colt!
He is doing everything right and has a lovely temperament according to David Hayes.
A 20/20 mating occurs when a pedigree pattern has two or more Graded Stakes Winners with CIS values above 20. This indicates that this pedigree is exceptional as there are at least two superior horses with a very similar pattern.
Graded stakes winners with the same pedigree as this colt include Mosheen, Desert King, Horatio Nelson, Peeping Fawn and more.
