warrnambool-racingRacing enthusiasts heading to Warrnambool this week are set for another exciting three days of thoroughbred racing action on April 29th, April 30th and May 1st, when the 2014 Warrnambool May Racing Carnival comes to town.

Around 35,000 people make their way to the ‘Bool’ each year to witness a magnificent three-day racing extravaganza where quality racing combines with fashions on the field and great entertainment to produce one of the highlights of the racing year.

‘Ladies Day’ gets the carnival underway with a ten-race meeting on Tuesday 29th April, featuring the $100,000 Brierly Steeplechase (3450m) and the $70,000 Vobis Gold Strike (1000m).

The third and final day of the Warrnambool May Carnival takes place on Thursday 1st May where the famed $250,000 Grand Annual Steeplechase (5500m) takes centre stage, along with the running of the $200,000 Warrnambool Cup (2350m).
